Bachelor Bedrooms Need to Be Transformed

There are many houses on today's market for sale and some are too cluttered while other are too sparse. Some appeal to only woman while some appeal to only men. So what's the role of a home stager?

First we must first make sense of the space. If there are elements in the room that have not made sense to past potential buyers then we must show them how to decorate around them or how to enhance or downplay it. We are to show off the home's selling features. We are not there to show off the sellers furniture or decor.

Here is a bedroom that I just recently staged. The client is a bachelor and the room displayed that. First the built in headboard was too large but could not be removed. The bedding was not appealing and the cluttered shelves did not make a client feel relaxed when entering the room.

With a few changes and some new bedding and curtains we went from bachelor pad to a master bedroom that anyone could rest easily in...

I always use a commercial ionizer in Bachelor pads. For some reason they have that dorm room smell.

The ionizer is one of the best tools in my tool box.

Loved what you did.  Great job

Bye bye bachelor pad Phyllis!  Dated as the furniture appears, you transformed the room into something very inviting!

How smart are you to take advantage of that wall mirror on the left?  The table and florals look fab!  Julie

Great work!  You even updated the look of the window treatment (a sometimes neglected area).

Very nice. You've decluttered and updated the room to appeal to all.

You did a great job with the green & brown color scheme, Phyllis.  I also like the window treatment change.

Oh Phyllis, no wonder he is a bachelor, maybe you gave him some future ideas! Don't you love those huge furniure pieces that can't be moved around?
